This Merkur was launched in 2009 and is still a favourite with many DE shavers. This double edge razor is the long handled version of the 500 Progress model.
This razor has become a classic, just like it’s short handled predecessor.
The basic design remains unchanged since conception, with the exception of a few refinements over the years, hence the name “Progress”.

There seems to always be a new cartridge razor being launched with an ever growing number of blades in the head.
